Customer support engineers serve on the front lines by answering questions and troubleshooting technical problems through phone, email, and chat. They assist customers with onboarding of a company’s product or service and also guide clients through installation and updating issues as needed.
Customer Support Engineer Roles & Responsibilities
- Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Manage the team and guide them to complete their task. Provide efficient and acceptable solution by going through the scope and requirements.
- Should be a good code reviewer.
- Should be able to coordinate with sales /solution consultants for defining the scope and conducting the pocs.
