Customer support engineers serve on the front lines by answering questions and troubleshooting technical problems through phone, email, and chat. They assist customers with onboarding of a company’s product or service and also guide clients through installation and updating issues as needed.

Customer Support Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions. Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  2. Manage the team and guide them to complete their task. Provide efficient and acceptable solution by going through the scope and requirements.
  3. Should be a good code reviewer.
  4. Should be able to coordinate with sales /solution consultants for defining the scope and conducting the pocs.
